The research focuses on live journalism, which we define as events where carefully edited and rehearsed journalistic content is presented to a live audience. We argue that live journalism as a novel journalistic format offers an intriguing way to support audience engagement as well as transparency and accountability in journalism. We investigate if and how the editing process of live journalism and its audience-centric logic can be applied to other forms of journalistic content production.
