The research project ”Economic experts in the public sphere” examines the relationship between journalism and economic knowledge. Via a survey and a set of interviews, the research project analyses how Finnish political and financial journalists evaluate the expertise and credibility of institutions that aim to influence economic policies. Such institutions include, for example, political parties, labour organizations and the Ministry of Finance.
